Hope Toya Hammock, 59, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at her residence. She was born on December 4, 1965 to the late Daniel Morris Hammock and Willie Bell Soules Hammock. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Danny Hammock, and sister, Terri Leverne Hammock. She wants people to reflect on the memories that you had of her, whether they be good or bad. Hope grew up in the church and has known Jesus all her life. She became a member of First Baptist Church Scottsville in 1995 under the direction of Pastor Roscoe D. Robey and later united with Abounding Grace Ministries family under the direction of Pastor Elvis Farley. Hope loved the Lord and wanted everyone to know him, become a part of His family and live for Him before it's too late. She departed this life as a believer of/in Christ, a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and teacher who loved to teach children about Jesus and successes in life. She was a former employee of Dollar General, G.E., A. O. Smith and Woodmen of the World Insurance. She was currently an employee of Jeff's Country Florist and H & R Block.
She is survived by 1 son: Nigel Hammock, Bowling Green, KY;
1 daughter: Imari Hammock, Bowling Green, KY;
2 brothers: Wayne Hammock (Minister Cheryl), Louisville, KY and Romel Hammock (Jay), Dubai;
6 sisters: Dianne Turner Glover (James), Tompkinsville, KY; Vonica Starks Hines (Clarence) and Gladys Ruth Brown, all of Bowling Green, KY; Dana Bottoms Disman (Jim), Scottsville, KY; Sharon Regina Hendley, Franklin, KY and Robbi Hammock, Alvaton, KY;
1 granddaughter: Darcy Hammock;
4 nephews: Terrill, Maurice, Michael and Jared;
2 nieces: A'Isha and Sabrina;
Godson: John Turner;
Great nieces and nephews: (Lux) and
Many cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Abounding Grace Ministries with Pastor Elvis Farley and Pastor Roscoe D. Robey officiating and burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 until funeral time at Abounding Grace Ministries. Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
