Helen Mitchell Obituary
Helen Louise Mitchell, 89, of Summer Shade, KY passed away peacefully Saturday, October 25, 2025 surrounded by her family. The Wheeling, West Virginia native was the former owner and operator of a Trucking Company and a daughter of the late Theodore Rossevelt Mitchell and Opal Leota McVicker Mitchell.
She is survived by 4 grandchildren: Jody Melrose, Summer Shade, KY; Joshua Gonzalez (Brittney), Glasgow, KY; Helen Tatchell (Dustin), Elizabethtown, KY and Angela Matus (Tim), Cleveland, OH;
1 son-in-law: Harold Dawson, Summer Shade, KY;
11 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Katherine Gonzalez; 1 son: Johnny Gonzalez; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
