Grover Long, 96, of Adolphus, KY passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Adolphus, KY native was a retired employee of American Boat, Inc. and Harper Ford Body Shop, a WWII Navy veteran and member of Robert's Tabernacle Church of God of Prophecy. He was a son of the late Jasper Taylor Long and Nancy Annie Taylor Long and husband of 75 years of the late Margie Elizabeth Keen Long.
He is survived by 1 son: Gary Long and wife, Sherry, Adolphus, KY;
2 daughters: Faye Tabor and husband, Roy, Scottsville, KY and Linda Clark and husband, Delbert, Westmoreland, TN;
9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren;
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Jasper Long, Louie Long, Frank Long and Willard Long; 3 sisters: Louise Miller, Catherine Stinson and Faye Kuykendall; 1 great grandson: Zane Sikes.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Graves and Bro. Danny Wilson officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Kevin Hinton officiating and military honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
