Gordon Williams

Gordon Williams, 76, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY.  The Scottsville, KY native was a farmer, board member of Halifax V.F.D. and board member of the Halifax Community Center.    Gordon was saved at a young age on the farm under a tree and joined Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where he formerly served as trustee and Sunday School teacher.  He was a son of the late Carline Oprah "C.O." Williams and Gladys Irene Stovall Williams. 

He is survived by his wife:  Susan Sapp Williams, Scottsville, KY; 

1 son:  Grant Williams and wife, Leslie, Scottsville, KY; 

2 daughters:  Erin Travis and husband, Chris, Scottsville, KY and Megan Jones and husband, Jeremy, Fountain Run, KY; 

1 brother:  Joe Williams and wife, Lena, Scottsville, KY; 

8 grandchildren:  Leo and Dakota Travis; Coy, Ty and Lily Williams and Colt, Reese and Maggie Jones. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Ausbrooks officiating and burial in Liberty Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Liberty Missionary Baptist Church or Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
