Glenda Sue (Hardaway) Spivey

Glenda Sue Spivey, 77, of Franklin, KY passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 in Franklin.  The Nashville, TN native was a retired CNA and devoted wife to the late Carl Raymond Nichols, Sr. and Comer Frank Spivey, Jr.  She was a daughter of the late Joseph Charlie Hardaway and Bertha Mae Wright Hardaway Thomas. 

She is survived by 1 son:  Donald Nichols and wife, Debra, Morgantown, KY; 

1 daughter:  Kim Hammond, Franklin, KY; 

4 step daughters:  Donna Brown (James), Penny Martin and Deana Blackburn (Ronnie), all of Franklin, KY and Susan Pace, Holland, KY; 

10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by 2 daughters:  Crystal Leigh Cornwell and Lucretia Morrison; 1 son:  Carl Raymond Nichols, Jr.; 2 sisters:  Betty Nichols and Patricia Robertson; 3 brothers:  Vernon, James and Donald Hardaway. 

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
