Gladys Cherry Doolin, 90, of Portland, TN passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Oak Hill Assisted Living in Portland, TN. The Union Hill, TN native was a former employee of Allen County War Memorial Hospital and former in home caregiver. She was a daughter of the late John Frank Cherry and Elizabeth Isabelle Plumlee Cherry and wife of the late O. J. Doolin.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Regina Brown and husband, Howard B., Westmoreland, TN and Jennifer Jones and husband, Mark, Portland, TN;
3 grandchildren: Brian Doolin, April Jones and Katelyn Jones;
2 great grandchildren: Alec Doolin and Chance Doolin; and
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 1 son: Keith Doolin and wife, Charlene; 1 great granddaughter: Gabbi Doolin; 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
A private graveside service will be Friday at the Rippy Cemetery with Bro. Roy Shockley officiating. Goad Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. The family would like to express their thanks to Oak Hill Assisted Living, Willowbrook Hospice and Bro. Roy Shockley for their care and kindness to our mother.
