Glada Costello Hasting, 87, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at her residience. She was born in Monticello, KY to the late Marion Cordell "M.C." Hurt and Jessie Ann "Anna" Dobbs Hurt. She was a former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing and Wagner Brake and member of Foundation Church.
She is survived by 1 son: Eugene Costello (Melissa), Glasgow, KY;
2 daughters: Connie Myers (Larry), Scottsville, KY and Kathy Gaston (Jerry Elliott), Martin, TN;
1 step son: Dave Hasting (Paula), Westmoreland, TN;
1 step daughter: Glenda Biggs (Bill), Westmoreland, TN;
2 brothers: David Hurt (Cindy) and Denver Hurt (Novella), all of Scottsville, KY;
9 grandchildren: Mitch Costello (Casey), Mattea Melrose (Seth), Ruthann Meadors (Gene), Mark O'Neal (Maddison), Charity Blankenship (Kelly Ray), Kristy Gaston (Antwion McNeil), Kelly Jacobs (Ethan), Tonya Compton (Joe) and April Frey;
24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands: Eulois Costello and Albert David "A.D." Hasting; 2 brothers: Rev. Cecil Hurt and Wilby Hurt; 3 sisters: Gladys Hurt, Marie Lawson and Jo Alice White.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 16, 2026, at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
