Genevie (McGuffey) Lafon

Genevie McGuffey Lafon, 89, of Donelson, TN passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY.  The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker and attended Lakewood Baptist Church.  She was a daughter of the late Clessie Clarence McGuffey and Alma Mae Anderson McGuffey and wife of the late Eulee Lafon. 

She is survived by 2 brothers:  Ray McGuffey and wife, Judy, Scottsville, KY and Benny McGuffey, Tampa, FL; 

1 sister:  Brenda Brown and husband, Jimmy, Scottsville, KY; 

Several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 2 sons:  Barry Samuel Lafon and Milam Craig Lafon; 3 brothers:  Bill McGuffey, Roy Lee McGuffey and "Buck" McGuffey; 4 sisters:  Gladys Wolfe, Gladdie Sarver, Wynona Carter and Vangie Wood; a sister-in-law:  Linda McGuffey. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating.  Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sumner Memorial Gardens.  Visitaiton will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
