Genevia "Jo" (Blankenship) Cockrill

Genevia "Jo" Cockrill, 86, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.   The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of A.O. Smith and General Electric, a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and attended East Willow Church of God.  She was a daughter of the late Arnold B. Blankenship and Mildred Eulice Wilson Blankenship and wife of the late Billy Ray Cockrill.

She is survived by 5 grandchildren: Makayla Poland (Bradley); Kelsey Wix (B.J.); McKenzie Mitchell (McKinley); Hailey Cockrill and Julie Cockrill;

2 brothers: Ralph Wayne Blankenship (Barbara), Scottsville, KY; Billy Calvert, Whiteland, IN;

6 great grandchildren: Makynlee and Canaan; Cowan; Carter and Mack; Everlee;

Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1 son: Jeff Cockrill and wife, Stephanie; 1 brother: Arnold Ray Blankenship and 1 sister: Willie B. Shockley.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick and Bro. Keith Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 7:00 A.M. Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
