Freeman Darrell "Free Bird" Hardin, 68, of Scottsville, KY and formerly of Franklin, KY passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Hospice House in Bowling Green. The Louisville, KY native was a farmer and retired employee of Berry Plastics. He was a son of the late Augustus Lee Hardin and Beatrice Bernice Fox Hardin.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Freda Hardin, Scottsville, KY;
2 sons: Roy Alexander Hardin (Donald Lancaster), Elkton, KY; Timothy Adams (Courtney), Bowling Green, KY;
3 daughters: Heather LeAnn Murray (Larry); Maimee Christina Maynard and Cathy Lynn Ehrhardt (David), all of Scottsville, KY;
2 brothers: Tommy Hardin, Beaver Dam, KY and Denny Hardin (Dianne), Scottsville, KY;
4 sisters: Vera Summers (Mark), Utica, KY; Carol Summer (Raymond), McHenry, KY; Sharon Johnson (Rusty), Franklin, KY and Martha Wolfe, Beaver Dam, KY;
8 grandchildren: Darin Murray, Kimberly Murray, Jacob Joyce, Bristol Young, Embri Young, Bristan Young, Bentley Ehrhardt and Franklin Bozman;
4 great grandchildren: Avalyn Mooney, Brooklyn, Micah and Neomiah Bozman.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Linda Pursley.
Visitation will be 3:30 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at Goad Funeral Home.
