Fredia Gayle Brown Gilliam, 68, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her residence. The Adolphus, KY native was a retired employee of G.E. and A. O. Smith where she worked for 34 years, a former member of Maple Grove General Baptist Church and attended Beech Grove General Baptist Church until she was no longer able. She was a daughter of the late William Gather Brown and Bertha Veola Mann Brown.
She is survived by her husband: Rev. Lawrence Gilliam, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Christopher Todd Gilliam and wife, Robin, Smiths Grove, KY;
1 daughter: Angela Robin Gilliam Sullivan and husband, Mark, Scottsville, KY;
3 sisters: Brenda Williams and husband, Randall; Jan Roark and husband, Gerald, and Debbie Carter and Barry, all of Scottsville, KY;
3 sisters-in-law: Marjorie Mosley, Georgia; Melba Patrick and husband, Arnold, and Donna Williams and husband, Greg, all of Scottsville, KY;
1 brother-in-law: Willard Gilliam and wife, Michelle, Scottsville, KY;
6 grandchildren: Steven Pedigo (Crystal), Stacy Pedigo (Jenna), Adam Gilliam (Chandler), Cody Gilliam (Emilie), Cheyenne Gilliam and Sierra Gilliam;
8 great grandchildren and
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with her husband, Rev. Lawrence Gilliam, officiating and burial in Mt. Union Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Mt. Union Cemetery Fund or the Parkinson's Foundation. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home. According to the Kentucky Funeral Director's Association, social distancing and face masks are required, and there is NO PUBLIC lounge available. The service can be viewed live on the Beech Grove General Baptist Church Facebook page beginning at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
