Frankie D. Calvert

Bro. Frankie Calvert, 75, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of Guarantee Pest Control; former driver for Dan Pitchford Cab Company; General Baptist minister having pastored New Zion, Fountain Run, Turner's Station, Mt. Carmel, Oakdale and Freedom General Baptist Churches; member of Freedom General Baptist Church and member of the Mt. Union General Baptist Association.  He was a son of the late John D. Calvert and Hester Rene Harrison Calvert. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years:  Sarah Wilkerson Calvert, Scottsville, KY; 

2 daughters:  Lisa Ann Calvert and husband, Ricky Dismon, Adolphus, KY and Faith Delynn Steenbergen and husband, Robert Owen, Scottsville, KY; 

10 grandchildren:  Shelynn Thacker, Shelby Victory, John Thomas Woods, Shawntaya Luke, Chloe Steenbergen, Wesley Steenbergen, Camden Steenbergen, Jordan Steenbergen, Willow Steenbergen and Laresa Steenbergen; 

8 great grandchildren:  Gabriel Thacker, Ryan Thacker, Sarah Thacker, Jacob Thacker, Madison Luke, Drayden Luke, Abigail Victory and Thomas Frank Victory. 

He was preceded in death by 1 son:  Larry "Bubba" Calvert; 5 brothers:  Larry Donald Calvert, Arnold Calvert, Onie Calvert, Earl Calvert and James Calvert; 4 sisters:  Sarah Frances Whitney, Laura Jo Whitney, Virginia Powell and Mae Armfield. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday; 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
