Ernest Preston Whitlow

Ernest Preston Whitlow, 91, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.  The Randolph, KY native was a retired employee of Dollar General and former lumber jack.   He was a son of the late Johnny McKinley Whitlow and Jewell Cleatus James Whitlow and husband of the late Elizabeth Earline Dillard Whitlow and  Alma Juanita Brady Carter Whitlow.

He is survived by 2 sons:  Mike Whitlow and wife, Kaneal, Scottsville, KY and Daniel Whitlow and wife, Bev, Indianapolis, IN; 

2 step sons:  Mark Carter and wife, Kelly, Westmoreland, TN and Elvis Carter and wife, Sandy, Scottsville, KY; 

1 brother:  Jackie Whitlow, Scottsville, KY; 

14 grandchildren:  Tiffany Jaussaud (Chris), Erin Whitlow, Damon Whitlow, Angela Alcazar (Conrad), Stephanie Hansman (Jason), Joshua Whitlow (Tosha), David Whitlow and Kimberly Dozier (Devin), all of Indianapolis, IN; Nikole Murphy Amateau, Palm Desert, CA; Zack Whitlow, Lucas Whitlow (Sarah), Tabitha Whitlow, Savannah Hickey and Melanah Hickey, all of Scottsville, KY.

He was preceded in death by2 sons:  John Wayne Whitlow and Joe David Whitlow; 1 brother:  Phillip Whitlow and 4 sisters:  Annie Rigsby, Linda Dick, Eddie Marie Compton and Nell Hargis. 

Joint funeral service with his son, Joe Whitlow, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Leland Humphrey officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and after 7:00 A.M. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  According to the Kentucky Funeral Director's Association, social distancing and face masks are required and NO PUBLIC lounge is available.
