Elvis F. Russell

Elvis F. Russell, 92, formerly of Scottsville, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the Terrace-Nursing & Rehab in Berea.  Elvis was born on in Scottsville, KY to the late Bradley and Myrtle Frost Russell.  He was a member of Hickory Hill Methodist Church and Graham Lodge #208 F & A M where he served as Past Master.  He served as Allen County Clerk for 33 years years before retiring in 1999.  During his tenure, he never lost a precinct during an election. He was preceded in death by his wife, Callie Fishburn Russell and a brother, Bobby Russell. 

He is survived by 1 son:  Stacy Russell and wife, Rindy, Berea, KY; 

1 granddaughter:  Laura Barker and husband, Joseph; 

2 great grandsons:  Bradley Barker and Thomas Barker and 

Numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Allen County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bruce Nettleton officiating.  Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to First United Methodist Church of Richmond, P. O. Box 27, Richmond, KY  40476 or Hickory Hill Methodist Church, 2146 Franklin Road, Scottsville, KY   42164.
