Eldon C. Stone, Sr., 75, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a commercial electrician and attended the Cowboy Church. He loved playing guitar and banjo and was a founding member of Stone Country Band that later became Country Wildfire. He was the son of the late Cecil Thomas Stone and Ruth Evelyn Bridges Tinsley Stone.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Linda Stone, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Eldon C. Stone, Jr. and wife, Melissa, Scottsville, KY;
2 daughters: April Lynn Stone, Scottsville, KY and Tamara Michele Smith and husband, Johnny, Adolphus, KY;
6 grandchildren: Tyler Smith, Cody Smith (Sarah), Sheree Smith, Katie Lynn Gass, Hailey Murray and Amber Parrish (Michael);
7 great grandchildren: Xavier Smith, Xtrendon Smith, Andrew Graves, Kaylee Graves, Nevaeh Willard, Jaxon Hardison and Killian Parrish.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Eunice Witcher and Wanda Mandrell.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Lee Reels officiating and burial in New Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. The service can be viewed live on the Goad Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
