Dottye Sue (Lawson) Lyle

Dottye Sue Lyle, 78, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at Hospice House in Bowling Green.  The Hendersonville, TN native was a former instructional assistant for Allen County-Scottsville High School, a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and Scottsville Chapter #60 Order of Eastern Star.  She was a daughter of the late Elster "Whitey" Lawson and Dorothy Mae Harston Lawson and wife of the late Bro. Richard Lyle.

She is survived by 1 daughter: Beth Lyle Sexton and husband, Jeff, Scottsville, KY;

2 grandchildren: John Burx Sexton and James Levi Sexton and wife, Gracie, all of Scottsville, KY;

1 great grandchild: Alorya James Lynn Sexton.

She was preceded in death by 1 son: Donald Clinton Lyle.

Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Yokley and Bro. Michael Horton officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 7:00 A.M. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
