Donald Ray Lane

Donald Ray Lane, 84, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at his residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a retired truck driver for RCA, U. S. Air Force veteran and attended Beech Grove General Baptist Church.  He was a son of the late Jesse Alton Lane and Lillie Maye Holland Lane. 

He is survived by his wife of 61 years:  Rita Lane, Scottsville, KY; 

2 sons:  Steven Lane (Kaloni), Readyville, TN and Charles Lane (Deborah), Smithfield, NC; 

2 daughters:  Tamra Creighton, Scottsville, KY and Jennifer Lane (Brian), Dupo, IL; 

1 brother:  Gene Lane (Ludy), Cape Coral, FL; 

1 sister:  Fern Brownfield, Scottsville, KY; 

12 grandchildren:  Ben, Brianne, Charon, Jessica, Rachel, Hannah, Alyssa, Elijah, Stephanie, Taylor, Sophie and Bethany; 

13 great grandchildren and 

Several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a sister:  Joyce White and 3 brothers:  Ralph, Morris and Dale Lane. 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Lawrence Gilliam officiating and burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Beech Grove Cemetery.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
