Dewana (Cornwell) Anderson

Dewana Cornwell Anderson, 62, of Adolphus, KY passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  The Scottsville, KY native was a retired rural carrier for the Scottville Post Office, former employee of General Electric and A. O. Smith, member of Breath of Life Ministries and former member of Pleasant Field Full Gospel Church where she sang.  She was a daughter of the late Herman Haskell Cornwell and Dema Lois McGuffey Cornwell. 

She is survived by her husband of 41 years:  Larry Anderson, Adolphus, KY; 

1 son:  Spencer Anderson and wife, Katie, Scottsville, KY; 

2 daughters:  Leslie Cornwell Cox and husband, Michael Keith, Fountain Run, KY and Brittany Williams and husband, Chad, Scottsville, KY; 

1 brother:  Mark Cornwell, Scottsville, KY; 

1 sister:  Linda Cornwell Harvey, Lexington, KY; 

1 sister-in-law:  Sister Faye Cornwell, Scottsville, KY; 

8 grandchildren:  Clayton Cornwell (Mekenzie), Colton Cox (Rikkie), Kaynen Cox (Layla), Bryson Chastain (Grace), Braxton Anderson, Castin Williams, Emmett Anderson and Hardin Anderson; 

8 great grandchildren:  Kensley Cornwell, Kayden Cornwell, Josie Cornwell, Jacie Cornwell, Everleigh Cox, Cooper Cox, Ryder Chastain and Emberleigh Chastain and 

Several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter:  Graclin Anderson; 1 brother:  Bro. Sammy Cornwell and 1 sister:  Jewell Bransford (James).

Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Cline and Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Breath of Life Ministries.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
