Dennis E. Divens

Dennis E. Divens, 75, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  He was formerly of Gaston, IN and retired after 32 years at New Venure Gear, U. A. W. Union Committeeman, operated The Classic Touch Auto Detailing and currently was employed at McClard's Antiques (Danny & Gayle) in Scottsville, KY.  He was a son of the late William J. Divens and Mary Edna Walker Divens. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years:  Shirley Haste Divens, Scottsville, KY; 

1 son:  Dennis (Denny) Divens, Jr., Scottsville, KY; 

2 daughters:  Gina Divens (Jess) and Michelle Abbott (Donald), all of the Halfway Community; 

1 brother:  William D. Divens (Mary Ann), Muncie, IN; 

1 sister:  Sherry Clark, Gaston, IN; 

2 grandsons:  Levi Abbott (Hagen) and Lucas Abbott, all of the Halfway Community; 

2 special friends:  Ron Boatman (Barb) and Ray Maynard. 

Dennis requested no visitation but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Humane Society or the charity of your choice.  The family would like to express their many thanks to 4D at the Medical Center for their care and compassion and FFF at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital and Fun, Family & Friends.
