Deloyce Charlton Meador, 93, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025 at her residence. The Petroleum, KY native was a retired employee of Scotscraft, Washington Overall Manufacturing and KY Apparel and attended White Plains FMC. She was a daughter of the late James Roy Charlton and Lillie Marie Anderson Charlton and wife of the late Edward Lee Meador.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Doris Baker and husband, Leonard, Clarksville, TN and Helen Slaughter and husband, Marshall, Adolphus, KY;
1 brother-in-law: Murl Hughes, Adolphus, KY;
1 sister-in-law: Mary Meador, Scottsville, KY:
3 grandchildren: Sherrie Flowers (Matthew); Brian Baker and Cindy Baker-Smith (Taylor);
4 great grandchildren: Brittney Flowers, Allie Baker, Charlie Baker and Morgan Smith;
3 special friends: Jan Berry and Danny and Gail Herrington, all of Scottsville, KY;
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: James Ralph Charlton (Arnell); Larry Joe Charlton (Nellie); Steve Charlton (Martha) and 3 sisters:Nina Jean Rhodes (Frank); Sherlie Harper (Eugene) and Carolyn Hughes.
Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at White Plains FMC with Bro. Danny Patrick and Bro. Mike Harper officiating and burial in Old Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at White Plains FMC until funeral time. In lieu of flowers, expressions of may take the form of donations to White Plains FMC. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
