David Whitney, Sr.

David Whitney, Sr., 65, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.  The Indianapolis, IN native was a carpenter, member of Christ The King Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus and attended Calvary Mission and Living Water Full Gospel.  He was a son of the late Lonnie David Whitney and Mary Margarette O'Conner Whitney.

He is survived by 1 son: George David Whitney, Jr., Scottsville, KY;

2 daughters: Shanna Taylor and husband, Dewayne, Adolphus, KY; Nicole Michelle Lentz, Chicago, IL;

His fiancee': Starlett Spencer, Scottsville, KY;

1 brother: Michael R. Whitney, Scottsville, KY;

3 sisters: Jenny Chaney, Walton, KY; Charlotte K. Swaner (Gene), Greenfield, IN and Chris Whitney Morris (Eugene), Hakalu, HA;

15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mass will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Christ The King with Father Daniel Dillard officiating and visitation will resume at 12:30 Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Randy Sloan and Bro. Dewayne Taylor officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home.
