Dane Scott Ewing

Dane Scott Ewing, 61, of Caneyville, KY passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at his residence.  The Owensboro, KY native was an auto mechanic, U. S. Army veteran and member of Soldiers for Christ.  He was a wonderful soul who loved the Lord and possessed the faith of a million mustard seeds that he made sure he shared with everyone he came in contact with, especially his family and his grandchildren whom he laid the roadmap to the kingdom of God so they had the right path.  He was the most loving, generous and selfless man to everyone and wanted to always make others laugh and smile.  This along with spreading God's love and word brought him joy and sense of a job well done.  He had pride ot being an Army veteran who loved his country home, riding four wheelers and mudding.  He deeply loved his family and friends, and his ten grandchildren were his source of greatest happiness.  There was nothing asked of him that he wouldn't do...he loved helping everyone.  He had the best fun pranking all his grandchildren.  They would laugh and call him their "pranking PA."  Dane will be missed by all his family and friends, but he leaves behind a legacy of good will towards others and a treasure of memories filled with love, laughter and fun filled times.

He is survived by his wife:  Teresa Roberts Ewing, Caneyville, KY; 

His mother:  Shirley Ewing, VA; 

5 sons:  Trevor Jarman (Sky), Tyler Gilmer (Tabethia) and Tad Gilmer (Khalie), all of Franklin, KY; Hunter Paul Ewing, NC and Dustin Ewing, MS; 

1 daughter:  Macy Carroll, NC; 

1 sister:  Dobey Lynn Ewing, Los Angeles, CA; 

11 grandchildren:  Ryder, Bentley, Dallas, Westin, Natalie, Emberly, Kiley, Cameron, Austin, Kyler and Isabella;

His father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Eugene and Pat Gore Roberts, Franklin, KY.

He was preceded in death by a son:  Chris Ewing and his father:  Dolan Leon Ewing. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Cremation was chosen, and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
