Clint Dewayne Merchant, 64, of Collinsville, IL passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at St. Louis Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. The Granite City, Illinois native was a former employee of Lowe's and a son of the late Grady Simpson and Mable Willene Estes Simpson.
He is survived by 1 son: Jared Merchant and wife, Whitney, Bowling Green, KY;
1 daughter: Chasity McCory, Warrenton, MO;
5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 son: Dustin Lee Merchant; 2 brothers: Tommy Merchant and Lindell Simpson.
There will be no visitation or service. Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
