Clarine Petty Taylor, 93, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker, retired employee of Dollar General, former employee of General Electric and founding member of Christ The King Catholic Church. She was a daughter of the late Raymond Ray Buchanan and Lillie Dovie Owens Buchanan and wife of the late Jess "Bugs" Taylor.
She is survived by 2 sons: Ray Petty and wife, Pam, and Dennis Petty and wife, Debbie, all of Scottsville, KY;
4 grandchldren: Darren Ray Petty (Kelsey), Holly Petty-Samaras (Christopher), Gabriel Petty and Ryan Petty (Nicci);
5 great grandchildren: Kelsey Petty, Cole Petty, Noah Towe, Harper Petty and Collins Petty;
4 step grandchildren:
1 nephew: Lester Spencer and wife, Debbie, Scottsville, KY.
She was preceded in death by a son: Mickey Petty; 1 sister: Carol Spencer; 2 step daughters: Sharon Harwood and Priscilla Gomez.
Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Christ The King Catholic Church with Father Tom Buckman and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Monday at Goad Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday until funeral time at Christ The King Catholic Church. The family requests no flowers and expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Kosair Children's Hospital or Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
