Clarence Gilliam, Jr., 87, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Franklin, TN native was a farmer, retired brick mason, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of Bricklayers of American and Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church where he served as deacon, cemetery committee and former treasurer. He was a son of the late Clarence Gilliam, Sr. and Lattie Lucille Johnston Gilliam and husband of the late Nettie Lucille Williams Gilliam.
He is survived by 1 daughter: Teresa Gilliam, Scottsville, KY;
1 sister: Peggy Smith and husband, James, Scottsville, KY;
1 grandson: Mason Williams and wife, Courtney and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Rev. Alburn Gilliam; 2 sisters: Mary Lucille Smith and Adelle Douglas and 1 grandson: Clarence David Harrison.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Lawrence Gilliam and Bro. Jeff Keen officiating and burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 7:00 A.M. until funeral time Friday at Goad Funeral Home.
