Charles Edward Smith

Charles Edward Smith, 68, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 at his residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of Wal-Mart and a member of the Allen County Rescue Squad.  He was a son of the late Edward Andrew Smith and Emmer Pearl Victory Smith. 

He is survived by his wife:  Lena Smith, Scottsville, KY; 

2 sons:  Fonzi Smith, Lafayette, TN and Dewayne Smith, Scottsville, KY; 

1 daughter:  Caranell O'Neal, Crossville, TN; 

2 brothers:  Jimmy Smith and Jerry Smith, both of Scottsville, KY; 

1 sister:  Ann Scruggs, Scottsville, KY; 

6 grandchildren:  Zack West, Camren Hooper, Derrick Hooper, Storm Smith, Star Smith and Drake Smith; 

3 great grandchildren:  Lillie West, Athena West and Willow West and one unborn great grandson:  Coleson West. 

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers:  Jerry Smith, Robert Smith, David Smith and Freddie Smith and 2 sisters:  Linda Jewell Smith and Karanell Smith. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Townsend officiating and burial in New Bethel Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
