Charles M. "Jr." Carter III

Charles M. "Jr." Carter III, of Owensboro, KY passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Signature Hillcrest in Owensboro.  The Scottsville, KY native was an independent insurance agent and owner and operator of Rides Auto Sales.  He was a former President of the Owensboro Jaycees, former member of JCI Senate and active locally, state and nationwide with the Jaycee organization.  He was the son of the late Charles Morrow Carter, Jr. and Geneva Magdaline Jackson Carter. 

He is survived by 1 son:  Charles M. Carter IV. and wife, Jessica, Danville, KY; 

1 daughter:  Lisa Ober (Darrell), Owensboro, KY; 

3 grandchildren:  Maggie Carter Johnson (Jordan), Charles M. Carter V and Elizabeth Dawn Carter;

2 great grandchildren:  Kaiden and Kallie Johnson. 

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Billy Ross Carter officiating and burial to follow at a later date in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
