Charles Kenneth Bankard

Charles Kenneth Bankard, 90, of Edmonton, KY passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at his residence.  The Frederick, MD native was a U. S. Marine veteran having served 25 years, a farmer, former bus driver for the Metcalf County School System and member of the DAV.  He was a son of the late Earl Franklin Bankard and Loretta Gorsuch Bankard. 

He is survived by his wife:  Maxine Bankard, Edmonton, KY; 

2 sons:  James Wesley Bruce and wife, Kathleen, Edmonton, KY and Charles Allen Bankard and wife, Susan Lynn, Peoria, IL; 

1 daughter:  Tammy Wren, Yuma, AZ; 

1 brother:  Richard C. Bankard, Westminster, MD;

5 grandchildren:  Justin T. Bruce (Natalie), Rebecca Taylor (Alex), Megan Wren, Kenneth Allen Bankard (Abigail) and Jacob Scott Bankard; 

14 great grandchildren and 

A granddaughter-in-law:  Brittany Bruce. 

He was preceded in death by a grandson:  Joshua E. Bruce; a son-in-law:  Dale Wren; 2 sisters:  Margaret L. Egolf and Mildred Cline; 3 brothers:  Earl J. Bankard, George F. Bankard and Ray D. Bankard. 

A memorial graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Cremation was chosen, and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
