Charlene Drew Wilson

Charlene Drew Wilson, 81, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at her residence.  The Mayfield, KY native was a homemaker, member of Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church and loved gardening.  She was a daughter of the late Warner Elrod and Mattie Elrod and wife of the late G. W. Wilson. 

She is survived by 2 daughters:  Charlotte White and husband, Steve, State Road, NC and Marilyn De Matteo, Memphis, TN; 

A step son:  Larry Wilson and wife, Becky, Carrollton, KY;

2 grandchildren:  Christina Wiley and husband, Ryan, and Michael Wilson and wife, Maggie; 

5 great grandchildren:  Elijah Wiley, Sela Wiley, Chase Wilson, Dillion Burd and Kailey Burd; 

1 brother-in-law:  Floyd Wilson and wife, Marie; 

3 sisters-in-law:  Mickie Drew, Doris Hyde and Vontello Carrier;

Long-term friends and caregivers:  Ann Witt Allen and LaReca Goode; 

Several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by a son:  Darrell Cooke and a step son:  Gary Wilson. 

A private family graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Mark Townsend officiating.  Following the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be scheduled.
