Cara King Obituary

Cara Lee King, 58, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at her home surrounded in love by her family and friends.  She was born to Larry and Sharon Kirby on April 21, 1966.  Cara's family, faith and friends were the most important to her.  She was a devoted wife, mother, GaGa, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  Her love of children was unmatched, and she and Timmy were foster parents for many years.  She was a stay-at-home mom who cherished her time nurturing and loving her children and later her grandchildren.  She was a faithful member of Scottsville Baptist Church. 

 

She is survived by her husband of 37 years:  Timmy King, Scottsville, KY; 

2 sons:  Daniel King and wife, Kathryn, Alvaton, KY and Caleb King and wife, Kathryn, Lexington, KY; 

2 daughters:  Ashley McPeak and husband, Jaylon, Scottsville, KY and Alexus King, Portland, TN; 

Her parents:  Larry and Sharon Kirby, Alvaton, KY; 

4 grandchildren:  Teddy King, Julia King, Adley McPeak and Holland McPeak; 

Her mother-in-law:  Doris King and husband, Andy Woods, Bowling Green, KY; 

1 brother:  Kyle Kirby and wife, Jaclyn, Alvaton, KY; 

1 sister:  Amanda Rupsch and husband, Davy, Alvaton, KY; 

1 sister-in-law:  LaDonna Forshee and husband, Trent, Bowling Green, KY;

3 nephews:  Blake, Donovan and Easton; 

3 nieces:  Emily, Elsie and Maggie;

An abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends. 

 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024 at Scottsville Baptist Church with burial in Friendship Community Church Cemetery with Bro. Kenny Sullivan officiating.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday until funeral time at Scottsville Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made electronically to fosterhousebg.org or checks mailed to C/O Foster House, 1805 Westen Street, Bowling Green, KY   42104.  Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
