Burnell Wheet

Burnell Wheet, 91, of Adolphus, KY passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.  The Tracy, KY native was a homemaker, farmer, in-home caregiver, member of Capitol Hill Missionary Baptist Church and attended Providence General Baptist Church.  She was affectionately know by here nieces and nephews and "Nanny Burt."  She was a daughter of the late Willie James Wheet and Myrtie Mae Wilkerson Wheet. 

She is survived by 1 son:  Gary Wheet and wife, Dorothy, Adolphus, KY; 

2 sisters:  Glennis Scott, Greenfield, IN and Brenda Bell and husband, Webb, Adolphus, KY; 

1 granddaughter: Teresa Williams, Scottsville, KY;

1 great granddaughter: Chelsie Williams, Scottsville, KY;

1 great great granddaughter: Ava Williams, Scottsville, KY;

Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 1 sister:  Barbara Pruitt; 3 brothers:  Travis "Rab" Wheet, Curtis "Speedy" Wheet and Jay Wheet; 2 half brothers:  Melvin Wheet and Roy Wheet; 4 half sisters:  Estelle Anderson, Donnie Patterson, Agnes Todd and Ethel May Lawrence. 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Williams and Bro. Larry Emery officiating and burial in Fountain Run Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
