Brenda Ann Cook Brown, 77, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. She was born in Gallatin, TN to the late Embrey Cook and Rosie Rulene Shrum Cook. Brenda was a beautician for 55 years and formerly worked at Dean's Beauty Shop, Carriage Trade and White Plains Beauty Shop. She was a member of the Allen County Homemakers, Scottsville First General Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and the Women's Missionary Circle.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Harold Gene Brown, Scottsville, KY;
3 daughters: Jean Anne Williams and husband, John Mark, and Karen Britt, all of Scottsville, KY; Janet Goodman and husband, Patrick, Crestwood, KY;
8 grandchildren: John T. Williams (Jesse), Hunter Williams, Lucy Britt, Talitha Goodman, Jadyn Williams, Shayna Britt, Karis Goodman and Corban Goodman;
3 great grandchildren: Jordan Williams, John Michael Williams and Memphis Williams.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Frankie, Larry and Lonnie Dale Cook and 2 sisters: Earlene and Pauline Cook.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. John Mark Williams and Patrick Goodman officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
