Bonnie Sue (Smith) Welch

Bonnie Sue Welch, 86, of Woodburn, KY passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Hopkins Center in Woodburn, KY.  The Scottsville, KY native was a former factory worker and formerly attended Beech Grove General Baptist Church.  She was a daughter of the late Elmer "Rusty" Smith and Sylvia Maxine Meador Smith. 

She is survived by 1 daughter:  Sharon Lynn Cissell, Louisville, KY; 

2 brothers:  Donald Ray Smith, Dallas, TX and Roger Dale Smith and wife, Marilyn, Scottsville, KY; 

3 sisters:  Shirley Jent and Eva Nell Hester, both of Scottsville, KY and Linda Groves and husband, Charles, Franklin, KY; 

3 grandchildren:  Will Cissell, Amanda Whitlow and D. J. Whitlow; 

1 great granddaughter:  Claire Ellen Whitlow;

Several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by a sister:  Janice Keen. 

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Holland officiating and burial in Beech Grove Cemetery with Bro. Shawn Holland officiating.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
