Bobbie Sue (Meador) Sims

Bobbie Sue Meador Sims, 90, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at her daughter's residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing, Carpenter-Dent, Bradley's, Allen County War Memorial Hospital, General Electric, A. O. Smith and Dillard's.  She was a member of Dover Missionary Baptist Church, the Allen County Democratic Woman's Club and Allen County Historical Society.  She was a daughter of the late Ira Lee Meador, Sr. and Pearl Barger Meador and wife of the late Allen Loyd Sims. 

She is survived by 1 son:  Terry Wayne Sims and wife, Brenda Wood, Scottsville, KY; 

1 daughter:  Nelda Jane Sims, Bowling Green, KY; 

2 sisters-in-law:  Shirley Meador, Scottsville, KY and Jackie Sims Flowers, Louisville, KY; 

Several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers:  Ewell Lee Meador (Jacquline), Billy D. Meador (Beatrice) and Ira Lee Meador, Jr.; 6 sisters:  Louise Casada (Brady), Geneva Lois Heath Britt (Louis Heath & Jim Britt), Comilla Dean Huntsman (Dexter), Jennie Belle Holbrook (Jimmie), Greta Fern Ransom (Noel C.) and Dorothy Lou Keen (Stanley). 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Maxie McGuffey officiating and burial in Dover Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Dover Cemetery Fund.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
