Blon Welch, 90, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Scottsville, KY native was a farmer, U.S. Army veteran, former employee of Allen County Farmer's Service and member and deacon of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Robert Anthony Welch and Molly Blanche Hurt Welch. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Joann Willoughby Welch.
He is survived by 1 son: David Welch and wife, Patrice, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Debbie Foster and husband, Eddie, Scottsville, KY;
1 brother: Don Welch, Scottsville, KY;
4 grandchildren: Ernie Foster (Kaley), Shaelee Welch, Malli Welch and Zadie Welch;
2 great grandchildren: Layne Foster and Reagan Foster and
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson: Jesse Foster and 3 sisters: Mildred Tabor, Roberta Myers and Dean Pitchford.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Huff officiating and burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bethlehem Cemetery or Bethlehem Fellowship Hall Building Fund. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
