Billy Ray Petty

Billy Ray Petty, 73, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Care.  The Scottsville, KY native was a retired utility construction superintendent and member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.  He was a son of the late Jesse Wade "J. W." Petty and Wana Lee Long Petty. 

He is survived by his wife/partner of 53 years:  Pamela G. Marlin Petty, Scottsville, KY; 

1 son:  Richey Ray Petty and wife, Laurie Ann, Scottsville, KY; 

1 daughter:  Wendy Renee Petty Woods and husband, Terry Joe (Groundhog), Scottsville, KY; 

1 brother-in-law:  Jim Cary, Shepherdsville, KY; 

1 sister-in-law:  Judy Petty, Scottsville, KY; 

4 grandsons:  Austin Woods and fiancee', Trinity; Andrew Woods, Keagan Petty and Griffin Woods. 

2 nieces:  Cindy Foster and Christy Croley, both of Scottsville, KY; 

1 nephew:  Zacary Cary, Shepherdsville, KY; 

Several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by 1 brother:  Bobby Petty and 1 sister:  Tammy Cary. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Elvis Farley and Billy Joe Jackson officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Goad Funeral Home.
