Bernice Cornwell

Bernice Cornwell, 81, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, November 3, 2025 at her residence.  The Franklin, Pennsylvania native was a member of Forest Chapel Free Methodist Church, attended Shady Grove General Baptist Church and Victory Hill Ministries.  She was a daughter of the late George Madison Cornwell and Marie Elizabeth Shuffestall Cornwell.

She is survived by 1 brother: David Cornwell and wife, Katrina, Westmoreland, TN;

Special niece and caregiver: Theresa Phillips and husband, Michael, Scottsville, KY;

5 nephews: Tommy Cornwell and wife, Natalie, Adolphus, KY; George Cornwell and wife, Anna, Mill Village, PA; Steve Moyer and wife, Sue, Erie, PA; Tim Cornwell and David Cornwell, Jr., both of Westmoreland, TN;

6 nieces: Brenda Miller and husband, Charles and Martina Chappell, all of Phoenix, AZ; Laurie Diaz and husband, Jesus; Lynn Barr and Toni Sullivan and husband, Tim, all of Atlanta, GA; Linda Romanek, Erie, PA;

Several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Lester, Carlyle and Richard Cornwell and 2 sisters: Elaine Romanek and Dorathy Long.

Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
