Barbara Jean (Miller) Bomar

Barbara Jean Miller Bomar, 90, of Adolphus, KY passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.  The Adolphus, KY native was a retired bookkeeper for Big Four Feed and Wooten Insurance and a member of Smyrna Church and former member of Walker's Chapel Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher.  Barbara loved raising vegetables, Bible study, writing in her journal and dogs.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a daughter of the late Elbert Glee Miller and Clarice Johnson Miller. 

She is survived by her husband of 72 years:  Ted Bomar, Adolphus, KY; 

1 son:  Gary Bomar and wife, Ginger, Scottsville, KY; 

3 daughters:  Teddi Osborne and husband, Steve, and Sandra Rainwater and husband, Barry, all of Adolphus, KY; Becky Richards and husband, Barry, Cross Plains, TN; 

1 daughter-in-law:  Joy Bomar, Scottsville, KY; 

2 sisters:  Betty Dean Jones, Adolphus, KY and Patty Jane Miller, Scottsville, KY; 

11 grandchildren:  Ali Bechtold (Carl), Ben Osborne (Brittany), Hannah Osborne (Scott Chambers), Kate Bomar (Caleb Meador), Elizabeth Peay (Seth), Jessie Richards (Tyler Elms), Aric Rainwater, Joshua Bomar (Lexi), Michael Richards (Tara Brooks), Andrew Bomar (Ava) and Rachel Bomar; 

Several great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by a son:  Alan Bomar; a grandson:  John Bomar and 1 sister:  Nell Dyer. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick and Bro. Brian Miller officiating and burial in Walker's Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Gideons.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
