Arthema Jewell Williams Carter, 91, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY. The Scottsville, KY native was a former court reporter for 30 years for Allen and Simpson Counties, a former president of BPW, member of Allen County Homemakers and White Plains Baptist Church and attended Victory Hill Church. She was a daughter of the late Oska Williams and Susie Elizabeth Williams and wife of the late Roger Gray Carter.
She is survived by 1 son: Eric Carter and wife, Marcia, Alvaton, KY;
1 daughter: Angela C. Marr and husband, Don, Bowling Green, KY;
5 grandchildren: Brian Marr (Lyndsey); Mallory Harper (Trey); Amy Winkenhofer (Brandon); Paige Murley (David); Kelli Miller (Brandon);
14 great grandchildren: Katie Winkenhofer, Ivan Harper, Jace Harper, Marley Winkenhofer, Blaire Marr, Henry Harper, Olivia Starks, Corbin Miller, Mary Claire Harper, Stella Harper, Grey Thomas Marr, Carter Murley, Deacon Miller and Ty Miller;
1 niece: Norma Jean Willoughby and husband, Carrol, Scottsville, KY;
1 great nephew: Greg Willoughby and wife, Amy, Lafayette, IN;
2 great great nieces: Sarah Willoughby and Katie Willoughby;
She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Janet Gale Carter and 1 brother: Kelly Williams (Alma).
Funeral service will be 2:30 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Trey Harper officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home.
