Arnold Dow Copas

Arnold Dow Copas. 82, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  He was born "somewhere near Sulphur Lick" and was a son of the late Adolphus "Doc" Copas and Mildred Catherine White Copas.  Arnold was a former employee of Gerald Printing for 25 years, former Allen County bus driver for 15 years, former owner and operator of Copas Frame Shop for 30+ years and a member of Clifton General Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon.  

He is survived by his wife of 63 years:  Betty Taylor Copas, Scottsville, KY; 

4 sons:  Jeff Copas and wife, Lisa; Tim Copas, Steve Copas and Kelvin Copas and wife, Cindy, all of Scottsville, KY; 

1 daughter:  Karen Copas, Scottsville, KY; 

1 brother:  Roger Dale Copas, Watertown, TN; 

10 grandchildren:  Wesley Copas, Bradley Copas, Brian Copas (Allison), Amanda Woods (Andy), Jesse Calvert, Dustin Calvert, Jacob Copas, Phillip Todd Copas (Emily), Lucy Copas and Malliea Copas; 

14 great grandchildren and 

Several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters:  Freda Crowe, Marjoria Cooper and Dorris Mings and 1 great granddaughter:  Ruby Alexandra Copas.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Robby Calvert, Bro. Jamie Edwards and Bro. Todd Stamps officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating.  Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
