Anna Jean Simmons, 75, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Tri-Star Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of General Electric and A. O. Smith and loved Jesus. She was a daughter of the late Rufus Witt and Margie Maynard Witt Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Simmons.
She is survived by 1 son: Wade White and wife, Jessica, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Melissa Roberts, Granville, TN;
1 sister: Debbie Moore, Scottsville, KY;
5 grandchildren: Jamie White and fiancee' Austin Finley; Joseph Patton Hite and fiance', Kimi Cheatham; Merisa Shuri Roberts and fiance', Chris Bumbalough; Bobby Hardin, Scottsville, KY and Page Harrison, Pittsburgh, PA.
5 great grandchildren: Skylier Robinson, Zayden White, Jaxton Bumbalough, Lily Hammett and Kaylie Hammett;
Special nieces and nephews: Ciara and Brian Brown and their children: Bryson and Brody, Adolphus, KY; Jada and Gage Spearman;
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Shockley officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. A celebration of life will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday at Dugas Park with moments of sharing starting at 5:30 p.m. and a potluck meal to follow. Everyone is invited to attend.
