Zelma Petty Spencer, 86, of Scottsville died at 9:20 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Care. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker and member of Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of he late William Jewell Petty and Mary Susan Owens Petty and wife of the late Neal Spencer.
She is survived by 1 daughter: Sherlene Spencer Durrant and husband, Chuck, Bowling Green, KY;
A daughter-in-law: Kim Spencer, Bowling Green, KY;
2 brothers: Gene Petty and Billy Petty, both of Scottsville, KY;
1 sister: Novice Witt, Scottsville, KY;
3 sisters-in-law: Judy Petty, Indianapolis, IN; Barbara Rayburn, Scottsville, KY and Hallie Spencer, Glasgow, KY;
1 brother-in-law: Wayne Spencer and wife, Carol, Scottsville, KY;
3 grandsons: Colton Spencer, Weston Durrant and Spencer Durrant; and
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son: Larry Neal Spencer; 1 brother: O. T. Petty; and 2 sisters: Earline Payne and Magaline Richey.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Moran officiating and burial in Cedar Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home.
