Sterling J. Bilbrey, 95, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Franklin, KY native was a retired employee of Chrysler Motors, avid farmer, WWII U.S. Army veteran, member of the American Legion and former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #17 in Indianapolis, IN. He was a son of the late Willie Bilbrey and Pearlie Gore Bilbrey and husband of the late Evelyn Pearl Bilbrey.
He is survived by a son: Gary J. "Goo" Bilbrey, Scottsville, KY;
1 brother: Paul Bilbrey and wife, Helen, Scottsville, KY;
2 sisters: Frankie Kirby, Franklin, KY and Kathleen Gregory, Bowling Green, KY;
4 grandchildren: Gary J. Bilbrey, Wendy Kay Linder, Carrie Fall and Kevin Thorne;
4 great grandchildren: Allison Bilbrey, Liana Sandlin, Zachary Linder and Kyle Chaffin;
2 great great grandchildren: Isaac Sandlin and Jackson Sandlin.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Thorne and a grandson: Eric Thorne.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Cline officiating and burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY with military honors by Simpson County Honor Guard. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home.
