Ross Hardy, 92, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green. The Luray, MO native the former owner and operator Hardy's Standard Service in Cuba, IL, former employee of York and Massey, former custodian for James E. Bazzell Middle School, an avid musician who loved playing various instruments, WWII U. S. Army veteran, member of Halfrey Dalton VFW Post 5712 and White Plains Baptist Church where he formerly served as deacon. He was a son of the late Joseph Edwin Hardy and Ruby Christy Hardy.
He is survived by his wife: Ruby Bosley Hardy, Bowling Green, KY;
1 son: Michael Ross Hardy and wife, Jennifer, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Trudy Ann Wheeler and husband, Randall, Naperville, IL;
7 grandchildren: Michelle Yackley, Andrea Hardy, Jana Hardy, Joseph Ross Hardy, Angie Swaggart, Joy Lobatos and Ryan Wheeler;
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 7 sisters.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Pastor Amado Lobatos and Rev. Phil Rogers officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens with military honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or Camp Courageous. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
