Mike Birge

Mike Birge, 38, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 on Washington School Road.  The Bowling Green, KY native was a former supervisor for Royal Crown Bottling Company, store manager for Hobdy, Dye & Read in Scottsville and attended Trammel Fork Missionary Baptist Church.  He was a son of the late Richard Hughie Birge and Deborah Pulliam Coots, who survives. 

He is survived by his wife:  Jenna Birge, Scottsville, KY; 

1 son:  Slade Birge, Scottsville, KY; 

His mother:  Debbie Coots and husband, Fred, Scottsville, KY; 

4 brothers:  Jason Morgan and wife, Betsy, Sarasota, FL; Daryl Birge and wife, Debbie, Scottsville, KY; Keith Birge and wife, Valerie, Winfield, AL and Kevin Birge and wife, Kim, Bradley, IL; 

1 step brother:  Jason Coots and wife, Julia, Portland, TN; 

1 step sister:  Laura Carter and husband, Brian, Scottsville, KY; 

Father-in-law:  Jimmy Shipley, Scottsville, KY; 

Mother-in-law:  Loretta Wallace, Scottsville, KY; 

Sister-in-law:  Jessica Shockley and husband, Issac, Locust Grove, GA;

Childhood friends:  Jake and Renee Jones, Scottsville, KY. 

Funeral service will be 12 noon Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie B. Wilson officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12 noon to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to a fund for Slade.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
