Marvin Wayne Salmon, 73, of Holland, KY passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Spartanburg, SC native was a retired employee of Dollar General, retired U. S. Marine with 23 years of service and member of Northstar Community Church. He was a son of the late Marvin Edward Salmon and Fannie Rector Salmon.
He is survived by his wife: Sandie Salmon, Holland, KY;
5 sons: James Salmon and wife, Nicole, Franklin, KY; Kenny Salmon, Bowling Green, KY; Jeffrey Salmon, Phillip Salmon and Kurtis Salmon, all of Holland, KY;
2 daughters: Sara Boatright and fiance', Terry Wallace, Franklin, KY and Rosa Salmon, Holland, KY;
1 sister: Patricia Banton, Kokomo, IN;
1 brother-in-law: Robert Campbell and wife, Ingrid, Holland, KY;
3 grandchildren: J. J. Summers, Dixie Ann Salmon and Marleigh Ann Salmon and
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Lynn Salmon.
Funeral service will be 12 noon Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Graves and Bro. Robby Calvert officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
