Les Marsh

Les Marsh, 69, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  The Allen County, KY native was supervisor of court security at the Allen County Judicial Center, former Allen County Sheriff, former officer for the Scottsville Police Department,  member of the Scottsville FOP Lodge #36 where he served as former President, avid supporter of the FOP Together for Christmas, member of the Blue Knights, former member of R.I.D, attends Victory Hill Ministries and formerly attended Maple Grove General Baptist Church.  He was a son of the late Edgar Marsh and Gladys Mae Brown Marsh. 

He is survived by 1 son:  Mark Marsh and fiancee', Susan Keen, Adolphus, KY; 

His companion:  Jennifer Downing, Scottsville, KY; 

1 brother:  Earl Wayne Marsh and wife, Patsy, Adolphus, KY; 

2 sisters:  Mary Ann Miller and Betty Sue Keen and husband, Jesse, all of Adolphus, KY; 

3 grandchldren:  Michael Austin Marsh, Glasgow, KY; Haley Marie Marsh, Scottsville, KY and James William Berry, Adolphus, KY; 

2 great grandchildren:  Elliana Ilene Marsh and Liam Alexander Marsh; 

3 aunts:  Letha Frost, Scottsville, KY and Mildred Knight and husband, Danny, Westmoreland, TN; Mary Witkowski, Jacksonville, FL;

Several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers:  Larry Joe Marsh and Jimmy Dale Marsh; 1 sister:  Martha Carolyn Marsh; paternal grandparents:  Leslie K. and Etta Jewell Pulliam Marsh; maternal grandparents:  Willie M. and Anne Brown. 

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Tabor and Bro. Nathan Oakes officiating with cremation to follow.  Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for the FOP's Together for Christmas.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
