Lena Mae Frischkorn, 90, of Scottsville passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Greenwood Nursing and Rehab. The Alvaton, KY native was a graduate of Scottsville High School and North Central Management Institute at the University of Illinois. She was formerly employed at Lake County Business Bureau in Hammond, IN; S & H Green Stamps in Bowling Green, KY; Alumni and Placement at Western Kentucky University and Dollar General Corporation. She was a member of Scottsville Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star in Griffith, IN and a Kentucky Colonel. She was a daughter of the late Glen Washington Hardcastle, Sr. and Virgie Russell Hardcastle and wife of the late Noel Douglas McClary and John Edward Frischkorn.
She is survived by 1 brother: Glen W. Hardcastle, Jr. and wife, Diane, Scottsville, KY;
1 niece: Lisa Adams and husband, Thom, Louisville, KY;
3 nephews: Greg Hardcastle and wife, Teresa, Bowling Green, KY; Steven Hardcastle and wife, Karen, Vacaville, CA and David Hardcastle, Scottsville, KY;
Several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by 1 nephew: James Hardcastle and 1 brother: Morris Wayne Hardcastle.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Harmony Missionary Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 7 a.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Harmony Missionary Baptist Cemetery. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
