James K. Tinsley

James K. Tinsley, 89, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a farmer, retired store manager of Houchens Industries, former bus driver, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.  He was a son of the late Nelson Asberry Tinsley and Jettie Jewell Shockley Tinsley.

He is survived by his wife: Vonda Polson Tinsley, Scottsville, KY;

2 daughters: Deborah Hobdy and husband, Johnny; Tammy Perry and husband, Steve, all of Scottsville, KY;

1 son: Kirk Tinsley, Bowling Green, KY;

10 grandchildren: Justin Williams and wife, Rina; Leslie Spears and husband, William; Aaron Marr and wife, Tori; Ashley Cline and husband, Chad; Jessica Ash and husband, Kevin; Taylor Tinsley, Tatum Tinsley, Tia Tinsley, Tessa Tinsley and Jase Tinsley;

15 great grandchildren: John Ray, Jake, Josh and Joseph Williams; Aubree, Brentleigh, Skylar, Kyra and Payton Marr; Cailyn, Addison and Cade Cline; Landon, Braden and Molly Spears;

1 sister-in-law: Ruth Ann Cunningham and husband, Ronnie, Scottsville, KY;

He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Luther Tinsley.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Moran, Bro. Ricky Huff and Bro. Robby Calvert officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow D.A.V. Chapter 20.  Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and after 7:00 A.M. Saturday until funeral time.
