James Henry Skaggs, 58, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 in Lexington, KY. The Bowling Green, KY native was a handyman and son of the late Henry Skaggs and Mamie Basham Skaggs Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Elisa Skaggs, Scottsville, KY;
3 sons: Patrick Wesley Fannin and wife, Rebecca, Scottsville, KY; Andrew Brady Fannin and wife, Melissa, and Leif Garrett Skaggs and wife, Ashley, all of Bowling Green, KY;
4 sisters: Carolyn Shirley and husband, Ronnie, Glasgow, KY; Janie Bumpus and husband, Steven, and Nelda Dorman and husband, Tom, all of Bowling Green, KY; Loretta Kitchens, IA;
7 grandchildren: Benjamin William Blevins (Loren), James Wesley Fannin, Elisa Imogene Rose Fannin, Leif Ian Skaggs, Dane Andrew Skaggs, Adrianna Michelle Fannin and Violet Marie Fannin;
2 great grandchildren: Marylynn Rose Blevins and Nathan William Blevins and unborn Baby B;
Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his step father: B.C. Miller; 1 brother: Jimmy Skaggs and 3 sisters: Patty Alvey, Dorothy Powell and Rosetta Guess.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Ivan Key officiating with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 12:Noon to 2:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home.
